Have you ever woken up one morning and just didn’t feel like doing things that you had planned for that day? It’s completely normal to wake up some days feeling unmotivated. Some days it is completely fine to take that needed rest day, but if we are always giving in, then we are slowing down on our productivity. The best way to stay on top of your responsibilities is creating a morning routine that you can consistently follow. Incorporating positive habits in your routine will best help you combat the days when you feel like you are in a total slump. Here are 5 ways to stay motivated on days when you are struggling to get out of bed in the morning:

1) Exercise

One way to stay motivated is exercise. It’s a great way to get the blood moving to get a boost of energy and reduce fatigue. It is completely understandable that it’s difficult to find the energy to work out in the morning but here is a tip. If you put on the gym gear, then you are more likely to follow through with your exercise that day. If you put on your everyday clothes, then we are further pushing back our work out. We will be more likely to avoid it later in the day. You would be much less likely to change out of your workout gear without at least having a quick workout first. After consistent workouts, you start to notice progress throughout your fitness journey. You will naturally be more willing to continue working out consistently.

2) Meditation

One of my favorite ways to stay motivated is meditating. Meditation in the morning is one of the best ways to start your day with a clear mind. Sometimes the number of tasks that we need to accomplish during the day can feel overwhelming. We should spend some quiet time each morning thinking about our day and our growth. It also helps us focus on the direction of where we are headed in our lives.  A little bit of introspection and self-reflection alleviates that negative thinking that is caused by the stress of our responsibilities. Some of the benefits of meditation at the start of your day include increased focus, relieve stress, and increased productivity. Just setting a side a few minutes each morning can really set your day up for success.

3) Reading

Reading will definitely help you to stay motivated. Just like exercising gets our bodies moving, reading is an excellent way to stimulate the mind. After reading in the morning, you will begin to feel motivated and inspired. This is ideal for preparing for a busy day. Not to mention reading is one of the best ways to gain new knowledge, which is vital on your road to personal growth. One unique way to multitask in the morning is to try reading while either exercising or getting ready with the use of audiobooks.  Reading a few minutes each day or listening to audiobooks is a great way to keep your mind active and stimulate good mental health.

4) Talk to Someone

An additional way to stay motivated is talking to someone. Social interaction should not be ignored regarding our health. It is another way to relieve stress and the burden of our problems. Sometimes, just having a conversation with someone is enough to get you motivated to start your day. When we voice our problems and feelings to others, it relieves some of that tension caused by stress that may be necessary to start our day. This can easily be done with a simple phone call to a family member or friend for a few minutes. It’s important to surround yourself with people who will help you grow. Here are some ways to create relationships beneficial to your personal growth.

5) Take a Rest Day

If you have been working hard and consistently for days straight, sometimes it is best to just take a rest day. People often assume that it is important to be 100% productive each day but that isn’t necessarily true. It is essential to any form of growth to take rest days when necessary. Be easy on yourself and realize that everyone has days where they feel sluggish. You just must push yourself to get back on track to your responsibility and growth as soon as you are done resting.

The hardest part of starting your day is getting past the inertia. If you get past the inertia, the sluggish feeling you feel won’t feel as bad. So, it is important to get some part of your body moving whether it’s your body or mind. Watch the video down below and learn more about the best ways to start your day by accessing 30X Life.
